Add Third-Party Applications to ShopFloorManager

Maintain your ISO9000 Compliant Database

Would you like to be able to store all of your Files and Documents in one Secure Database and access them for your daily projects & tasks without the fear not maintaining ISO9000 Compliance? ShopFloorManager's ThirdPartyTools: (html) allows creating any number of access channels for third-party applications so they can access their native "Files" stored in ShopFloorManager's secure database. These applications can access their "Files" from within ShopFloorManager to open, view & edit them. When finished they can be save back into ShopFloorManager'sTM ISO Compliant, Revision Controlled Secure Database with Auto Archive Capabilities.

Configuring Third-Party Tools

From ShopFloorManager's Runtime Application click on the "Configure 3rd-Party Tools" Icon for configuring Shop Floor Applications that you would like to be part of ShopFloorManager's Applications and designate for this Workstation.

Configure 3rd-Party Tools Window

Select the Workstation you are presently on and click the New Button.

Select 3rd-Party Tool Executable Window

Select the 3rd-Party Tool Executable File that you would like to add to ShopFloorManager and click the Open(OK) button to add to the List of Applications to which this Workstation has access.

New 3rd-Party Editing Tool Window

You can modify the name of this Application as presented in ShopFloorManager's list of 3rd-Party Tools. When finished click the Open(OK) button.

If needed you can modify the parameters, most times this is not necessary as this follows standard Microsoft Command Line Arguments!

Configure 3rd-Party Tools Window

You can now associate User Groups thus Users to these 3rd-Party Tools to which you want to allow them Access.

Manage DNC Files Window

In this Example lets chose a DNC File from the Manage DNC Files Window (Could have chosen from other Management Windows to perform other operations) so we can display a Backplot of the chosen DNC File. After selecting a File to Backplot click on the "Copy and Open with 3rd-Party or Native" Icon.

Select Editing Tool Window

Select a 3rd-Party Tool(Application) from the list and click the OK button.

In this example a Backplot of the selected DNC File is displayed in the 3rd-Party Application!

Note: In this example we have chosen an Application that only displays a Backplot of the selected DNC File. We could have chosen other Applications to edit this DNC File or other types of Documents lets say a Microsoft Application and then we could store these modified Documents in ShopFloorManager's secure database.

There is no limit to the number of Applications you add to ShopFloorManager's Suite of Applications so ShopFloorManager can become your Central Secure Storage for all of your Files & Documents. Cool Right!
