ShopMDI can use Monitoring Programs created with ShopMonitor: (html) which allows ShopFloorManager Users to Create Real-Time "Monitoring Programs" that can capture, store, provide real-time production visuals & generate detailed reports based on Manufacturing Shop Floor "Events" generated by Lists of "Events" created within ShopFloorManager by its Users. For Details see the "Create A Monitoring Program" Menu!
In the process of creating this a "Monitoring Program" with ShopMonitor you have also Automatically Created a Manual Data Input Program allowing you to enter Maintenance, Probe & Production Data Manually for any type of Work Center!
The Production Information Collected & Analyzed by ShopFloorManager can also be Displayed in Real-Time Interactive Charts (ShopCharts: (html)), viewed in Real-Time Machine Event Status and you can also run Reports(ShopReports: (html)) that provide complete details on Machine Tool Utilizations!
You can also use ShopReports to generate Reports for specific Shifts, Users, Machine Tools, DNC File, etc. Believe it or Not you have created all this from your Simple Monitoring Program. With just a little more effort you can create Programs that collect Probe Dimensions, Tool Changes, Maintenance Information, Send Emails, etc.
Note: Now that we have created the Monitoring Program for collecting Cycle Start, Cycle End & Probe Measurement Events how is it deployed?. First we need to select the Work Center Resources, Machine Tools, for which ShopFloorManager should collect Events. Second we will need to Select the Work Centers for which we want to view these Events in Real-Time. Click on the Configure Save Machine Events as shown above and the following Window will be displayed.
Note: This Form allows you to select the Machine Tools for which you want ShopFloorManager to collect Events. Select the Machine Tools of interest. The Machine Tools not selected will not collect Events! Click the OK button to Save Configuration and the ShopFloorManager Runtime will be displayed.
Note: To enhance the benefits of ShopMDI we will also Select a few Work Centers for Real-Time Viewing of Events as we Enter Data into ShopMDI. Click on the Configure Display Machine Events and the following Window will be displayed.
Note: This Form allows you to select the Machine Tools for which you want ShopFloorManager to Display Machine Event Status Real-Time. Select the Machine Tools of interest. The Machine Tools not selected will not have their Machine Events Status Displayed! Click the OK button to Save Configuration and ShopFloorManager Runtime will be displayed.
Note: To display the Real-Time Machine Event Status click on the Show Machine Event Status and ShopFloorManager Runtime will expand to display the Machine Status Events of all the Work Centers, Machine Tools, that have been activated.
Note: From the Drop Down List select the Monitoring Program for which you want ShopFloorManager to Display the Real-Time Machine Status Events. If a particular Work Center, Machine Tool, is not "Running" the selected Monitoring Program the Machine Status Events will not be updated.
Take a close look at the Labels/Fields/Data that are collected/displayed/stored in the Machine Event Status Window as these were created by you to meet the requirements of your company not to our preconceived notions! You won't find that in our competitors.
The data collected by ShopMDI could also be done automatically if your controllers supported DPRNTs and you had installed a Probe to collect Measurements. We will use ShopMDI to simulate what would happen if the Events were generated by the "Monitoring Program" and were inserted into a DNC File!
Note: Click on the Manual Data Input Icon and the following Window is displayed!
Note: At this stage the MDI program needs to be configured to use the Data Item "Monitoring Program" we created. Click on the Select Machine Tool button and the following Window will be displayed.
